Dear Honeybees families,

You may have already heard that from September 2023we will be changing our admissions policy as we have taken the decision to prioritise places for children who live in Plumpton or Plumpton Green.

This move back to a more 'Village and community' preschool has been decided after consultation with our Parish Council and the local authority. We have found that this past year we have sadly had to place some local families on a waiting list and we want to avoid this happening again.

Plumpton Green currently has two new housing developments that are in progress or still at the planning stage. These houses will inevitably bring in more young families who require childcare. We want to be in a position to offer these local children an early education.

An additional reason for prioritising Plumpton families is our ongoing commitment to Plumpton Primary. As a village preschool we wholeheartedly want to place children in our thriving village school so that they have a healthy intake each year.

For those of you who have younger children who you were hoping to send to Honeybees in the future, please make sure that you look for alternative childcare for your child over the coming weeks and months.

I know this will be disappointing for some of you but I am sure that you appreciate our reasons for making this change.
